By the Way, Meet Vera Stark is a hilarious play loosely based off of Theresa Harris, an African American actress in the 1930s. Theresa Harris lit up the screen and stole the scene in the 1933 movie “Baby Face,” where she starred opposite Barbara Stanwyck. But in those days it was hard for African American women to make it in Hollywood. This play takes place in 1933, 1973 and 2003. The first half of the play shows Vera Stark (Sanaa Lathan) as a maid for the starlet Gloria Mitchell (Amanda Detmer.) Vera shares an apartment with two other African American women, Lottie (Kimberly Herbert Gregory) and Anna Mae (Merie Dandridge) who are also trying to figure out how to make it in Hollywood. Anna Mae is light skinned so when she gets asked out on a date by a famous director she tells him she’s Brazilian. So, as Vera is helping Gloria learn her lines for the new movie “The Belle of New Orleans” she discovers that there is a part that she herself is perfect for. And funny chaos ensues as she tries to audition for this coveted role. The second act takes place in 2003 and 1973, with the 2003 people playing back an interview of Vera and Gloria from 1973. It is a group of 3 analyst who are analyzing Veras behavior during the interview. I hate to say more about the story because I don’t wanna spoil it! It honestly is an amazing play, which is now playing at the Geffen playhouse. You will be on the floor laughing throughout the play. There is never a dull moment, the cast is absolutely fantastic. Go see it!
I know you guys must have all seen this about a million times! Well, here you go again! I honestly think this is one of the greatest videos I have ever seen! The mini Rachel Zoe and Anna Dello Russo are spot on! The mini Kimye is just plain hilarious! The mini Justin Bieber…well, he looks the same age as the real one. Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch is the most famous pumpkin patch in the world! Anyone who is anyone goes there from Heidi Klum and Hilary Duff to Rowan Atkinson! I know, this is my second Pumpkin Patch shoot, but this is my favorite time of year! And Mr. Bones is more a coachella style place for pumpkins, than a pumpkin patch…seriously, I did not see a lot of pumpkins! If you were wondering about my blondie friend, that’s my friend Ashley (the amazing woman who colors my hair also,) we have been friends since I was 15. The book clutch is a very unique and chic bag. Olympia Le-Tan, in my opinion is the queen of the book clutch designers! Her clutches are all very different and relatable at the same time. She has so many designs, it was hard to choose a favorite to put on my blog! I thought this one was particularly funny. Lulu Guiness, on the other hand, is famous for her unique and fun Lip Clutches! I have always wanted one but never had the courage to get one…that’s changed! When I was on her site a couple days ago, after seeing her on ANTM, I suddenly stopped scrolling fast and there it was…The Book Clutch. You could only imagine my surprise when I saw how cheap it was compared to the Olympia Le-Tan. And just as cute! The Book Clutch is a definite must have in my opinion!

I know the title is pretty redundant…but I am a Leo, and my belt has a Lion on it. I find that I am always attracted to lions. Although, a big H would have been a great buckles too, if you know what I mean. If not, that’s cool. I got the belt at the same Estate Sale where I got my bag…the belt coast me $2! The next day, I got it in brown! I always love pairing these boots with these leggings, they blend so well! I actually had someone ask if they came together! And of course my favorite accessory…Yogurtland frozen yogurt! Flavors of choice were Pumpkin and Graham Cracker with Graham Cracker crumbs!

Never, have I ever been suspended for ditching…you have to get caught to be suspended! I also haven’t been in school for 2 years. I just remember ditching class and going to the movies or Starbucks during my 4th and 5th period classes. I felt the movies taught me more, and Starbucks fed my apetite for learning. The other day I went to a fabulous estate sale in Bel Air, where I got my bag for $5! It’s vintage and the brand is unknown…isn’t it adorable? Very Versace-esque. That’s also where I got the suspender and a bow-tie for $1 together. Love estate sales!

Jamais, je n’ai jamais été suspendu pour coupé l’école … il faut se laisser prendre à être suspendu! Ça fais aussi 2 ans que je suis plus à l’école. Je me souviens de toujours coupé mes classes et d’aller au cinéma ou Starbucks pendant mes 4ème et 5ème cours. J’ai senti les films m’ont tout appris, et Starbucks nourris mon appétit pour l’apprentissage. L’autre jour, je suis allé à une vente fabuleux domaine de Bel Air, où j’ai obtenu mon sac pour 5 $! C’est millésime et la marque est inconnue … n’est-ce pas adorable? Très Versace-esque. C’est aussi là que j’ai eu la bretelle et un nœud papillon pour 1 $ ensemble. Amour vente de biens!
First off, who doesn’t love leather? If I could I would wear leather everything. I have always wanted leather shorts, and these OAK ones are perfection! They remind me so much of the Karl Lagerfeld boxing shorts, which is probably where my love stems from! Regardless, these OAK shorts are definitely O.A.K (One of A Kind!)

I have always wanted to wear heels randomly, but always felt really awkward about it. I decided to bite the bullet and go for it! I figured if I made my outfit super casual it would even out. So, I got my vintage ysl pumps on with my jeans and thermal and headed out to the mall! I think the starbucks cup adds more of a casual touch. Like, “It’s 10am and I’m wearing gold heels at the mall..but I have a starbucks cup so it’s all good,” if that makes sense.

J’ai toujours eu envie de porter des talons au hasard, mais toujours senti vraiment bizarre à ce sujet. J’ai décidé de serrer les dents et allez-y! J’ai pensé que si je faisais une tenue décontractée, il serait même sur. Donc, j’ai eu mes vintage pompes YSL avec mon jeans et thermiques et dirigés vers le centre commercial! Je pense que la tasse Starbucks ajoute plus d’une touche décontractée. Comme: «C’est 10h du matin et je porte des talons d’or au centre commercial .. mais j’ai une tasse Starbucks donc c’est bon”, si cela fait sens.

Every year I look forward to Halloween! It is my favorite holiday! I love getting a costume, eating anything and everything with pumpkin in it, watching Halloween specials on tv, and going to a pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkin to carve! Remember “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” one of my favorites! Can’t wait until I post my Halloween costume!

I left my house thinking it was gonna be cold out, but of course this is LA and that never happens! I was wearing my favorite (and only for now,) leather jacket that I got in Paris 2 summers ago. My Chanel flats! If you had any idea what I went through to get those! I wanted them so badly, and they stopped making them for 2 years and brought them back just in time for my 18th birthday. Pandora, my obsession…I love having my own radio stations and listening to it in my car. 4. eBay, you know I get a lot of my stuff from eBay and this just makes it easier to bid and watch my items. 5. Stylebook, it’s like a mobile version of Polyvore and you can take pics of your own clothes and put them on! 6. Jurassic Park, this one’s a game and it’s like Farmville but with dinosaurs so I love it (addicting!) 7. Starbucks, in case you didn’t know this about me, I love Starbucks like I have a Gold card with my name on it…with this app I can locate any starbucks near me, and even pay with the app. 8. DryBar is amazing to begin with, and with this I can book an appointment and it adds it directly to my calendar. 9. Chanel app? Yeah, it’s real! Who needs to go all the way to Paris to see the show when you can stay in bed and watch it on your iPhone or iPad, and you can zoom in for details. 10. WordPress! Omg! I love being able to approve all of your lovely comments from wherever I am. It’s also great because I can post something from anywhere and check my stats, which I do way too much!

Okay, so I technically never went to College. What can I say, it wasn’t for me. But, I live right next to one of the greatest schools ever! UCLA! It is such a beautiful campus, I thought I should take advantage! So, I put on my best school girl outfit and went to college (for 45 min!) I am wearing a very old Aqua dress (similar here) that I got from Bloomingdales when I was 15! My ray-ban glasses, since I have to look smart. Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boots, and knee high socks with lace trim. The only thing that would have made this outfit better is a Chanel backpack of course! I will get one!

That shirt (amazing here) with my cuffed jeans (better here) and Isabel Marant sneakers. The ring is Tiffany&Co. It’s like I’m a boy from 1950s about to go play some baseball!
